Perodua Myvi, Daihatsu Sirion GT Version

At the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show, Perodua or known as Daihatsu in Indonesia presents a variety of cool models. One that is quite interesting is the Myvi or the better known version of the Sirion GT concept.

Myvi has always been loved by the public for over a decade, but nothing like this has ever happened. With the Myvi GT, we exceeded the expectations of urban compact car design, producing the most sporty and daring Myvi ever.

The Perodua Myvi GT concept model really elevates a normal city car to being like a hot hatch. The face design looks aggressive with a large bumper which is dominated by mesh.

Underneath is a splitter with red accents, adding to the sporty aura. Splitter with side skirts and continuously connected to the rear bumper. The design is like taking inspiration from the VW Golf GTI Mk7.

The Perodua Myvi also has a sunroof, with low ground clearance because it uses 17-inch rims, which are wrapped in 205/40 Bridgestone Adrenalin RE003 tires. There's also a contrasting Brembo brake caliper. Complementing the sporty appearance, there are twin exhaust pipes.

Towards the cabin, equipped with all black dominate with red accents, a dashboard with infotainment and air conditioning vents, framed in red. The AC vent on the right of the driver is also framed in red. While the bucket seats are given a red line in the middle, red stitching on the seats, door trim and steering rod.

For the price, maybe if this concept was mass produced for the highest version of the Daihatsu Sirion, many would be interested. But unfortunately, this model is only present as a sweetener to the exhibition, or at least to provide inspiration for Daihatsu Sirion owners who want to modify their cars.

WHY CHOOSE 1.3 L FROM 1.5 L ENGINE

Astra Daihatsu Motor newest city car model, the new Daihatsu Sirion, was officially launched in Indonesia. The mainstay of the Japanese urban car manufacturer, comes with a 1.3 liter engine with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions.

In Malaysia, a city car that has the name Perodua Myvi is also available with a 1.5 liter engine. Then, why didn't PT ADM bring a bigger version of the engine for the Indonesian market? Because with a market that was not big enough, it would be very inefficient to present the Daihatsu Sirion with many choices.

Daihatsu Indonesia team is considering how efficient the operation will be. If there are too many choices while there are not many markets, it is of course inefficient. The Daihatsu Indonesia team needs to see what the needs and needs of consumers in Indonesia are. If this product develops like in Malaysia, with sales of 12 thousand units and of course they can make many choices.
